If you make use of the services of Health-E – for example because you are a healthcare provider or patient – you provide a number of personal data to Health-E yourself, or personal data is obtained from you in the context of your work or care needs. Basis for processing
The processing of personal data is only possible on the basis of the following principles: (i) legal obligation, (ii) performance of the agreement, (iii) obtained (explicit) consent from the data subjects, and (iv) legitimate interest. When Health-E provides the services, personal data is processed. Health-E only processes data that Health-E deems necessary for (improving) the service and handles the (personal) data it has collected about you and your use of the service with care. The basis for processing this data is the agreement you have entered into with Health-E. Your personal data may also be processed by visiting the website or app if you have given permission for this.
Necessity of processing
The processing of your personal data is necessary in order to be able to provide the service. The services offered by Health-E cannot be fully performed without the processing of your personal data. For example, the right care cannot be provided in a timely manner if Health-E is not allowed to use your personal data and is not allowed and/or cannot share it with the healthcare providers. If your explicit consent is required for specific purposes relating to the personal data, you must give your consent separately.
Automated decision-making
Health-E deploys automated decision-making with the utmost care for your rights and freedoms. You have the right to challenge a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.
Retention period
Personal data will not be kept longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Health-E periodically assesses the need to retain your data.
Processing by third parties
Health-E only shares personal data with third parties if this is strictly necessary for the execution of an agreement and to comply with relevant laws and regulations. No personal data is sold. Health-E may be subject to a legal obligation to share personal data with third parties. If personal data is shared with third parties, processing agreements will be concluded for this purpose. The Healthcare Provider, for the purpose of the execution of the agreement. All categories of personal data will be shared with the healthcare provider.
The insurer, for the purpose of the execution of the agreement. The categories of personal data that are processed are contact and name and address details, citizen service number (BSN) and your insurance number and the hours of care provided.
The software supplier, for the purpose of the execution of the agreement. All categories of personal data will be shared with the healthcare provider.
Security of Personal Data
Health-E takes the protection of your personal data seriously and, taking into account the state of the art, implementation costs, as well as the nature, scope, context and purposes of processing and the likelihood and seriousness of various risks to the rights and freedoms of individuals, takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk. The data is stored and hosted in a data center located in the Netherlands, which is at least TIER III certified.
Although personal data is stored securely and can only be accessed by authorised persons, it is in all cases and always the responsibility of the user to determine which data is stored in the platform. Thus, the users are responsible and liable for the information they send to other users. Complaint
If you have a complaint about the way in which Health-E handles your personal data, or wish to exercise one of the above-mentioned rights, you can contact us via support@healthe.nl. To ensure that you wish to exercise a right, Health-E asks you to send a copy of your proof of identity. You can blacken out your passport photo and MRZ (strip with numbers at the bottom) to protect your privacy. Health-E will respond to your request as soon as possible, but no later than within 4 weeks. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority. Changes to the Privacy Statement
Health-E may amend the privacy statement at any time. The most recent version will be published on the website and in the App. Therefore, always keep an eye on the website or the App for the most recent version. If the new privacy statement has consequences for the way in which we process data already collected in relation to you, we will inform you via the App.
